Interwoven

The artwork Interwoven draws inspiration from the elaborate and culturally rich head turbans, known as ‘Rawani’ by Hausas in the northern part of Nigeria, worn by men during the Durbar festival, particularly observed during the Sallah celebrations in Northern Nigeria. This festival, which is a vibrant display of Hausa tradition, showcases not only horsemanship but also the intricate social hierarchies represented by these turbans.
