The Queen

£2,000.00Price

A painting of a woman sitting, seeming like she just finished reading a book, sitting next to the window, inside the red room with black and white tiles on the floor.

This painting is inspired by how Siya's mother managed to raise him and his siblings without any man's help. She's so relaxed and proud now that her sons managed to graduate. The melting dice symbolizes the passing of time, with five on the front of the dice, and one on the other side of the dice, which concludes success that she's learnt from the book "Think and Grow Rich," which she is holding in her left hand.

The color of the room adds to the warmth of any home with a mother. With the clock on the wall, which is upside down, symbolizing the originality of "African time," and it also symbolizes Africa. The coffee, sugar, and cup on the table are soothing, which his mother loves drinking. Black and white tiles symbolize the balance that she's feeling after managing to raise her children.
