She Speaks Down Into Us by Yinkore was born out of something deeply personal. Yinkore has spent much of her life feeling lost, and art has always been the thing that brought her back. She describes a feeling most people can relate to, going through something incredibly difficult, asking questions, and receiving only silence. When nothing seems to work, you can end up feeling completely unseen and alone.
For years, she looked for answers in strange places, in other people, and in different plans, but she never truly found them. However, when she started painting, art became the answer. It became the way she processed her experiences and stayed connected to something bigger, regardless of what she was facing.
That is the heart of this series. These pieces were created from the belief that even in Yinkore’s darkest moments, the universe was actually speaking to her. The star motif used in both paintings acts as a guiding light, a reminder that even when she couldn't see the path, something was moving her through the darkness. Looking back, she realized that even when she felt the most lost, she was exactly where she needed to be.
