Pamela Ifejoku
(Coming Soon)

unnamed (7).jpg

As an artist, filmmaker, and licensed pharmacist, Pamela Ifejoku explores the profound connection between art, storytelling, and healing. Her creative practice is a journey into ancestral memory, rendered in paint, Akwaocha cloth, and narratives that celebrate her Anioma heritage.

Pamela is driven by the desire to reclaim stories, heritage, and identity, drawing inspiration from African history, knowledge, and the resilience of her people, particularly the Igbo and Anioma cultures of Nigeria. Through textured surfaces, symbolic compositions, and intricate patterns, she weaves narratives that honor the past while questioning contemporary realities.

Her work, much like the Nsibidi and Uli symbols of her ancestors, serves as a visual language, communicating forgotten histories and spiritual wisdom. Pamela pays homage to the women who shaped her communities, the architecture that holds untold stories, and the traditions that define her collective identity. Ultimately, her goal is to create art that sparks dialogue, reawakens pride in African heritage, and reminds us of who we are. "Ọdịnani a ma tufu"—tradition must not be lost; we must preserve it. Her art is an offering, a bridge.
